AT SELECT LOCATIONS

You do not always need a program, a coach or another long-term process.
Sometimes there is simply one situation that needs to be understood, challenged and moved forward.
A decision you are not fully certain about.
A problem that keeps returning.
Several possible directions with no obvious best choice.
A move you want to test before you commit.
Or something important that does not yet have a clear name but runs your mind day by day.

You bring the case. We determine what it actually requires.

THE CASE MAY BE RIGHT FOR YOU IF:

Continue only if at least two reflect your reality.

You have one specific situation that needs to move forward.
You already have information or opinions, but not enough clarity.
You need an independent read, not another stakeholder in the outcome.
Something in the situation does not fully add up.
Getting it wrong would cost more than taking the time to examine it properly.

THE SITUATION COMES FIRST

The Case has no predefined format. I do not begin by deciding whether you need coaching, consulting, analysis, sparring or a particular methodology.

We begin with the situation itself. What is happening / not happening.  What do you know? What are you assuming / missing? What is shaping the situation behind the visible facts?

Only then do we determine what the case requires. The work may involve structured analysis, sparring, Red Teaming, scenario work, decision support, planning, assumption testing or the development of concrete courses of action.

The Case starts with the situation, not with a service.
The method follows the case - not the other way around.

WHAT WE WORK ON

The subject can vary. The Case may involve:

A decision you want tested before acting.
Several possible directions with no obvious best choice.
A problem whose real cause remains unclear.
An important conversation, negotiation or intervention you need to prepare.
A situation where internal advice no longer gives you enough distance.
Something that feels wrong even though the numbers appear acceptable.
A decision you have postponed because too many factors are interacting.
A recurring issue that has resisted previous attempts to solve it.
A situation that does not fit neatly into coaching, consulting, training or another predefined format.

The requirement is simpler: there must be a real case worth working through.

BEHIND THE VISIBLE PROBLEM

Numbers show what happened. They rarely explain why.

Behind them are decisions, behavior, capability, execution, incentives, relationships, power, assumptions and the operating architecture that produced the visible result. That is usually where the real work begins.

The focus is therefore not only on the issue in front of you, but on the reasoning, decisions and human factors behind it.

Sometimes the decision needs testing. Sometimes the problem needs reframing. Sometimes assumptions that have quietly become accepted as facts need to be challenged. Sometimes alternatives need to be built.

And sometimes it means saying directly:
the problem you came with is not the real problem.

WHAT MAKES A CASE HARD TO SEE CLEARLY

NOISE.
Too many opinions. Not enough structure. More voices do not necessarily produce more clarity. Without structure, opinions compete rather than converge. The situation gets delayed, diluted or eventually decided by whoever has the strongest voice in the room.

PROXIMITY.
You are inside the situation. That gives you information others do not have. It also makes some things harder to see. Distance creates the ability to examine the situation, and your own reasoning, without having to defend what has already been assumed, decided or invested in.

UNTESTED REASONING.
Assumptions can look remarkably similar to facts until someone challenges them. Reasoning that has not been pressure-tested can feel completely sound while still carrying hidden weaknesses. Those weaknesses often become visible only after a decision has been made, when changing direction becomes more expensive.

THE RESULT

The Case is not executive coaching. It is not a leadership development program. It is not an open-ended advisory relationship.

We work on one case. The engagement ends when the case has reached a useful result.

Depending on the situation, that may be: a validated decision; a corrected direction; a reframed problem; a clearer understanding of what is actually happening; a set of viable options; a concrete plan; or a next move you can act on.

Not another opinion.
A clear way forward.

OUTSIDE THE SYSTEM

The people around a CEO or owner rarely see the situation from exactly the same position. Some know only part of it. Some are directly affected by the decision. Some have incentives, loyalties or interests of their own. And some simply tell you what has already become safe to say.

An outside perspective creates a different kind of space. No internal position to protect. No need to agree. No need to make the situation look better than it is. No need to defend an idea simply because it is already yours.

The purpose is not to add another opinion.
It is to improve the quality of the reality, reasoning and choices on which your next move will be based.

PERSONALLY CONDUCTED

The work is conducted by me personally. There is no consulting team, delegation to associates or handover to a back office. The person you speak to at the beginning is the person who remains with the case through to the result.

The case is examined in person, through one intensive working session. An initial private conversation (by Zoom)  is used to understand the situation and confirm that The Case is the right point of entry.

CONFIDENTIAL BY DESIGN

The existence and content of the engagement remain private. No one else needs to know unless you decide otherwise.

Information is requested only when it is necessary for the case. If access to documents, interaction with another person or disclosure of any part of the work becomes useful, it is discussed and agreed with you first.

You decide who knows, what is examined and what happens with the conclusions.

Discretion is not an extra.
It is an operating condition.

WHEN THE CASE REQUIRES SOMETHING ELSE

Sometimes the first conversation reveals that the situation requires a different kind of intervention.

If the main problem is the reality on which your decisions are based (incomplete, interpreted or filtered) The Room may be the better fit.

If the situation is already escalating, consequences are growing and time is working against you, it may require High-Stakes Architect.

You do not need to diagnose the format in advance.
Bring the situation. We will identify what it requires.

NAURIS SVIKA

Complexity, uncertainty and consequential decisions are my operational environment.

I enter difficult situations and strip complexity down until a viable path forward remains. Then I leave.

My background combines two worlds - military operations and business psychology. One teaches action under pressure. The other helps explain why capable people, teams and organizations sometimes fail to deliver even when the visible logic appears sound.

Former military officer with operational deployments in Kosovo and Iraq. More than two decades in leadership across military and civilian environments, with direct experience in human factor, difficult transitions, decision-making and work under pressure.

Published author. TEDx speaker. I work alone. By design.
